Anyone living in the Western Pennsylvania region that would like alerts regarding space weather and sky phenomena, such as meteor showers and eclipses, should consider following @Pgh_Space. In addition to sky phenomena, we will also be posting alerts for public “star parties” and astronomy events occurring around the area.
This information comes from a variety of sources. Most of it comes from websites, but sometimes via word of mouth or even by my own observations. Unlike the sites listed below, we only post information that applies specifically to observers in the Western Pennsylvania region. I had already been doing this for my close friends for years; hopefully now others can benefit from it as well.
